Boxee è il set-top-box 2.0?

Boxee è un software open-source per Linux e Mac e sembra perfetto per equipaggiare un Mac mini (o AppleTV) o dare nuova vita ad un vecchio PC da collegare al proprio TV per accedere a tutti i vostri file video e streaming da CBS, Comedy Channel e Hulu (con l’IP giusto…), Youtube, etc..

E’ compatibile con praticamente qualsiasi formato video non protetto da DRM.

L’integrazione con il social web è totale, da Twitter a Last.fm.

E’ disponibile in alpha, ad invito.
