eBay rimuove i pulsanti Skype dalle sue aste

Iniziando da eBay UK. Nella press release con cui il gruppo annunciava le proprie intenzioni di portare Skype alla quotazione nel 2010 il CEO John Donahoe ammetteva la presenza di limitate sinergie tra Skype ed eBay/Paypal. Ora eBay elimina dalle proprie pagine l’unica forma di integrazione tentata con Skype, i pulsanti Chat e Call che avrebbero dovuto consentire ad acquirente e venditore di comunicare prima e dopo la conclusione di un’asta. La funzionalità non aveva riscosso successo.

eBay is discontinuing Skype voice and chat buttons in listings as of 10th June 2009 in an effort to remove features with limited buyer and seller usage.

This change does not require any action on your part. We are just notifying you that as of June 10, you will no longer see the Skype voice and chat options when you list new items, they will not be included on the new item page, and they will no longer appear in your existing listings.
