Con il rilascio dell’aggiornamento del firmware iPhone alla versione 3.0, Truphone aggiorna la propria applicazione per sfruttare le nuove funzionalità offerte dall’API, prima tra tutte il sistema di notifiche push che dovrebbe alleviare i disagi dovuti all’impossibilità di mantenere un’applicazione attiva in background.

La nuova versione di Truphone offre agli utenti la possibilità di ricevere un avviso (visualizzato in modo simile ad un SMS) quando sono presenti nuovi messaggi nella propria segreteria telefonica (voicemail). L’icona dell’applicazione, inoltre, informa l’utente di quanti messaggi attendono di essere ascoltati.

L’applicazione tuttavia non offre notifiche di messaggi IM ricevuti mentre siete offline.

Per installare l’aggiornamento eliminate la versione precedente di Truphone, riavviate il telefono e installate la nuova versione dall’AppStore.

Truphone Voicemail with Message Waiting Alerts allows you to receive a real-time alert whenever another Truphone user leaves a message on your Truphone voicemail, even if you don’t have the Truphone application open on your iPhone.

Truphone Message Waiting Alerts gives you:

On-screen Message Box – tells you who has called and left a message

App Icon Notification – tells you how many messages you have waiting

Real-time alerts – gives your callers confidence their message will reach you quickly

This new feature is completely free, as is receiving calls, and retrieving and listening to your voicemail message.
To enable Truphone Voicemail go to My Details in the My Account section of Truphone on your iPhone; turn Enabled ‘ON’ and remember to hit Save.
To personalise your Truphone Voicemail Welcome Message, or retrieve your waiting messages, dial 1571 from the Truphone keypad, or click on the Voicemail contact in TruFriends.t in TruFriends.
